Lehigh Valley Public Media Announces John Moser as Deputy Director of News

LEHIGH VALLEY, PA. – July 29, 2022 – Lehigh Valley Public Media announced today that John J. Moser has joined as the organization’s Deputy Director of News. 

Moser worked more than 30 years at The Morning Call – 17 of them as an assigning editor overseeing reporters in Allentown, Bethlehem, Lehighton, and Quakertown. Besides managing news teams and coordinating coverage, Moser has extensive experience as an entertainment writer and music critic. In 2020, the Lehigh Valley Music Awards honored him with its first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award in Music Writing.

Vice President of News Jim Deegan stated, “John will be integral in streamlining our workflow, developing our newsgathering strategies, building an audience, and fostering an environment that's productive and fulfilling as we set out to be a leader in Lehigh Valley news coverage.”

As one of the news team’s core reporter supervisors, Moser will report to News Director Jen Rehill.
